This is my beautiful.....I WAS BORN THIS WAY!!

First off...I have to write this fast enough before I start having contradicting views in my head and end up not doing it....it happens.

I am scrolling through Instagram and I come across a post by the beautiful Taraji P. Henson. It is a short clip titled 'Afro Art' and it showcases different beautiful girls adorning their equally beautiful Afros (too many 'beautiful' in one paragraph...but then....beautiful). The clip is aimed at inspiring girls to embrace their naturals hair. It's quite a peace of work, skillfully done and the shots are amazing.

When I watched the clip, I was sad. Sad because we are still living in this world where human beings have refused to accept the fact that we are all different. We were created differently. No human being is similar to the other. Our differences have been used time and again to discriminate, intimidate and pass our own selfish agendas.

Our looks and genetic makeup should be a non-issue in this time and error. So you have kinky, curly, wavy, straight hair......so your skin is brown, black, light and whatever.....why is this still been discussed? Don't we all live in the same planet and breathe the same air? Don't we all consume what nature has indiscriminately provided? Aren't we all humans? Why do some people feel superior to others? Don't we all become dust once we are dead?

The human race needs to calm down and re-evaluate their perception of their fellow human beings. Some people are bent on making other people's lives unbearable and impossible. Some people are meant to feel like they don't belong here.....which other planet were they destined for? Do you have an idea? When it comes to natural selection, I think most of these closed-minded individuals should be the first to be eliminated from the face of the earth, we don't need this kind of problems. We have global warming, nuclear and animals' extinction to deal with.

A child should be comfortable in who they are from birth. They should not be made to feel like there was a mistake in their creation. Everyone is different, in relation to no one. Beauty SHOULD NOT be relative. Beauty is as unique as our thumb or tongue prints. We are all beautiful in our own unique ways and no one should be made to feel differently.
